Slimming Clinic

People who are overweight have higher risk of heart disease, stroke, type 2 diabetes, arthritis and back pain. Our weight management service offers a programme designed to suit your lifestyle and needs. Losing weight is about more than simply looking good or focusing on a number on the scales. It is about gaining more confidence, feeling healthier and happier; we have a variety of programs to support you to reach your weight-loss goals and re-energising your life.
Our sessions take place on alternate days each lasting between an hour to an hour and a half. The number of sessions depends on the inches to be lost. You can also opt for our two trial sessions.
Eligibility criteria
We do have some eligibility criteria to help us support people in the right way. You must:
• not be pregnant
• above 18 years of age
• be ready and motivated to lose weight
You can:
• Eat lots of normal, homemade food with no worries about weighing or measuring – and you’ll never have to go hungry
• There’ll be no embarrassing revelations about how much you weigh or anything else – your weight is never disclosed
• A friendly and highly trained Consultant to run your program will be guiding and supporting you.
• There are no strangers – only friends you haven’t met before – all with the same hopes and dreams and all ready to help you fulfil yours
Top tips to help you lose weight

  1. Don’t skip breakfast
    Eating small meals at regular intervals during the day helps burn calories at a faster rate. It also reduces the temptation to snack on foods high in fat and sugar.
  2. Eat plenty of fruit and vegetables
    Fruit and vegetables are low in calories and fat, and high in fibre – 3 essential ingredients for successful weight loss.
  3. Get more active
    As well as providing numerous health benefits, exercise can help burn off the excess calories you can’t cut through diet alone.

  5. Cut down on sugars & oil.
